Health & Safety Guidelines

As you participate in the equipment exchange process, it is crucial to assume the best health and safety practices by prioritizing your personal safety and that of others involved in the exchange.


We urge you to stay informed about the latest guidelines from the health authorities, especially regarding COVID-19 protocols. Our team will continue to monitor public health measures and update our guidelines as new recommendations become available.  

Safe Health Practices

Wash your hands often, especially before and after an exchange. 

Clean equipment, spaces, and surfaces often.

Practice safe physical distancing of 2 meters.

Whenever you can, try to stay outside when exchanging assistive devices. 

Wearing a mask is encouraged. 

If you have signs of illness, stay home and reschedule your exchange.

General Safety

  • Conduct the exchange in a public area 

  • Bring someone with you  

  • Agree to meet during daylight hours 

  • Limit providing information that identifies you personally 

  • If anything seems off, stop contact

Equipment Safety

It is the responsibility of the owner of the equipment to provide information on any faults in the equipment prior to the exchange.


Please carefully inspect the equipment prior to use to prevent injury. If the equipment has any safety issues, please do not use it.
