Meet Our Team
Chris Fraser
Founder, Project Lead
In 1988 Chris became spinal cord injured when she was swept off an oceanside cliff by a rogue wave while traveling in South Africa and completed her rehabilitation at Parkwood Institute.
She is a nutritionist and recently-retired registered dietitian, having provided nutrition intervention and education for people with spinal cord injuries and acquired brain injuries at Parkwood Institute for 25 years. During that time she led seated aerobics classes at the Parkwood Fitness Centre.
Chris is the founder of Possibilities Project which raises funds to purchase assistive devices for persons in financial need within the Parkwood Institute community.
She is currently a seated aerobics instructor for the Parkwood Virtual Fitness Centre which provides opportunities for people to socialize with peers while achieving physical fitness.
Chris enjoys spending time with family and friends, loves music, dancing and working out with her “friends on wheels” across North America, and chilling out watching Netflix.
Dalton Wolfe
Project Lead
Dalton is the lead of the Research 2 Practice (R2P) team at Parkwood Institute, which reflects his passion for re-defining how researchers might work alongside practitioners and their patients to generate new knowledge at the same time as improving care and clinical outcomes.
Dalton enjoys music and also loves all things nature (often boring people on hikes by pointing out all the different species of birds or some useless fact about this tree or that flower). He hopes to become proficient at curling over the next few years (ideally in time for the 2026 Winter Olympics).
Abby Spadzinski
Project Coordinator / Research Assistant
Abby is a recent graduate from the Health Sciences Program at Western University. Abby is interested in integrating research into practice, and the importance of co-design and learning from the lived experience of others.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, reading, and playing sports!
Thuvaraha Jeyakumaran
Project Coordinator
Thuvaraha is graduate student completing her Master’s in Global Health Systems (MMASc.) at Western University. She is currently working as a project coordinator within the Research 2 Practice (R2P) team at the Parkwood Institute.
Her research interests include health equity, knowledge translation and implementation science, especially in the context of marginalized populations. She hopes to further develop her skills in these areas and promote sustainable and evidenced-based interventions to achieve equitable healthcare.
Julianne Hong
Research Assistant / Coordination
Julianne is a graduate student completing her Masters of Physiotherapy at McMaster University. Her interests lies in activity based therapies and developing implementation practices to embed research into clinical care through the collaborative efforts of administrators, researchers, clinicians and persons with lived experiences.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports, cooking and trying new foods.
Jordan Eggiman-Ketter
Research Assistant / Environmental Scan, Research
Jordan is a recent Psychology graduate from Western University. She is interested in pursuing research and counselling but wants to learn more about the healthcare and rehabilitation environment. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family, reading, and trying new foods!
Emma Kalupan
Student Lead - Agent Team
Emma is an undergraduate student at Western University, enrolled in Honours Specialization in Kinesiology with a minor in Rehabilitation Sciences. She is passionate about physiology, global health, and promoting accessibility.
Bryanna Lucyk
Web Developer
Bryanna is a Software Developer with St. Joseph's Healthcare London and a former Research Coordinator with Lawson Health Research Institute. She specializes in web development and has a strong interest digital innovations in healthcare.
When she's not programming, she enjoys hiking, listening to podcasts, and chasing around her dog.
Athena Ma
Agent Team, Environmental Scan
Athena Ma is an undergraduate student completing a Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree at Western University. Her passion for human physiology and promoting accessible healthcare motivated her to join the PP+ team, where she discovered a new interest in rehabilitation practices.
In her spare time, you can find her immersed in nature, or creating artwork that advocates for social and mental wellbeing.
Busayo Kadiri
Student Lead - Environmental Scan
Busayo is an undergraduate student in the faculty of Health Science with a minor in Gender Studies. She is interested in promoting awareness around barriers in accessing health care in her future career.
In her free time she crochets tops and blankets for the people that she loves, plays music with her friends, and binge watches her comfort anime movies.
Cassidy Jones
Student Lead - Agent Team
Cassidy is an undergraduate student completing an Honours Specialization in Kinesiology at Western University. She is interested in rehabilitation science and the psychology of exercise.
In her spare time, she competes with her synchronized skating team, and teaches CanSkate. She enjoys travelling, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
Heidi McDonald
Student Lead - Environmental Scan
Heidi is completing an Undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree at the University of Waterloo.
Her interests include integrating her understanding of human anatomy and physiology into rehabilitation science practices. She is passionate about continuing to learn and work in hands-on therapy settings with athletes and those in rehabilitation to improve recovery outcomes and client experiences.
In her spare time, she loves to go hiking and camping with friends and family and grows her own vegetable garden.
Kimberly Fernandes
Environmental Scan
Kimberly is an undergraduate student completing a Honours Specialization in Health Sciences at Western University.
She has a strong interest in rehabilitation, encompassing both physical and neurological aspects. This interest stemmed from first- and second-hand lived experiences of rehabilitation which motivated her to join the team.
Noor Qureshi
Agent Team
Noor is a master's student completing a Master's in Global Health Systems at Western University. She is passionate about promoting equitable healthcare access in underserved communities and advocating for the growth of supportive housing facilities nationwide.
In her free time, you will find her coaching competitive volleyball with the London Volleyball Club and empowering young individuals by spearheading 'She Can Play Too,' a diverse sports initiative with the goal of minimizing barriers to youth participation in competitive sports.
Raza Haider

Raza is a graduate student completing his Master’s in Global Health Systems (MMASc.) at Western University. His interests include creating equitable health programs, knowledge translation, and developing sustainable solutions to current global health challenges.
Reem Younis
Social Media & Marketing, E-Scan
Reem is an undergraduate student completing an Honours Specialization Rehabilitation Sciences at Western University. She is committed to the advancement and development of research in the field of rehabilitation, particularly in the context of activity-based therapy, aimed at individuals experiencing neuropathic pain and impairments.
With a strong passion for improving patient outcomes and enhancing the quality of care, her primary focus is to contribute to innovative research that addresses the evolving needs of individuals undergoing rehabilitation.
Sheri Kim

Sheri is an undergraduate student pursuing an Honours Double Major in Anatomy and Cell Biology and Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences. She has dedicated recent years developing a holistic comprehension of patient care through various disciplines including occupational therapy and hopes to better equip herself in becoming a well-rounded healthcare provider in the future.
Outside of her studies, Sheri values creativity and aims to continue developing her craft in the arts. She particularly enjoys visual arts, photography, dance, and music.
Stefania Staudohar

Stefania is an undergraduate student completing a Honours BSc Kinesiology at Western University. Her interests include rehabilitative medicine, neurology, fitness, and healthy active living.
Tirth Patel
Social Media & Marketing
Tirth is an undergraduate student completing a Major in Biology! His love for science accompanied by his interests in business and start-ups has led to him gain experience in marketing, social media, and business management/development to help bring innovative ideas to market!
Outside of work, he loves running, traveling and soccer (football)! He spends most of his time doing Yoga and trying different meditation techniques.
