This study is being led by the Research to Practice (R2P) team and the Possibilities Project Plus (PP+) initiative of Lawson Research Institute, St. Joseph’s Health Care London – Parkwood Institute. We aim to improve access to assistive devices through research and our device exchange program.

Q: WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO PARTICIPATING IN A RESEARCH STUDY?

A: By sharing your experience with assistive devices, you’re helping to shape a future where more people can access tools that truly support their independence and quality of life.

Q: WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

A: We are accepting participants who are over the age of 18 and use assistive devices or their caregivers.

Q: WHAT COUNTS AS AN ASSISTIVE DEVICE?

A: Assistive devices include but are not limited to mobility, hearing, vision, daily living aids. Not sure if yours is included? Just ask us at possibilitiesprojectplus@sjhc.london.on.ca

Q: WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT FOR PARTICIPANTS?

A: Participants will be required to fill out 2-3 surveys which can take 15-20 minutes in total.

Q: HOW IS CONFIDENTIALITY MAINTAINED?

A: Participants will be given a number identifier which will be linked to their results. All personal data and results are kept behind the St. Joseph’s hospital firewalls in secure patient databases and chats.
